So this song, “Television Romance” by Pale Waves is my current obsession. Pale Waves is an indie pop/goth rock band from the UK. 

The words, “television romance” refers to a relationship that’s ideal and not embedded in reality. In this case, the guy is making advances towards a girl but the girl has no interest in him. Yet, the guy keeps trying despite not getting the hint. The guy lives in this fantasy world that the girl will eventually like him as if it’s a romance on television or the movies.
