LynLynSays Needs Book Recommendations!

Hi Readers,

I am in need of assistance especially from fellow book lovers out there. One of my assignments as a teaching assistant is to create a dream syllabus for a class I would want to teach at the college level. Being a shoujo and Asian drama fan, I decided to create a syllabus involving the romance genre. Continue reading

Announcements: Slowing Down in May

Dear Readers,

For the month of May, writing will be at an all time low because I have finals and I’m moving to a new apartment complex.

Don’t worry, though. This summer I’m going to put in a lot of time and effort towards creating new content for you. I invested $100 to this site so I better make the most of it.

Happy Reading!

LynLynSays & TeePublic Team-Up!

Dear Readers,

I just want you all to know that I am now officially affiliated with the online pop culture t-shirt store known as TeePublic! I created a store that has a bunch of awesome T-shirt designs created by some talented and amazing artists. If you buy something from my store, a percentage of your purchase’s cost will go to me which is a pretty big help as a graduate student. So please check out my store and if you like what you see, buy a little something for yourself or a friend.

Once again, here’s the link to LynLynSays’ Store on TeePublic. Happy Shopping!

-Lyn

P.S. I’m going to make those #Lyndere shirts happen.

Announcements: I Upgraded & Help Me!

Dear Readers,

If you haven’t visited my site in a while, you may not have noticed the changes I made, but if you have, you might have seen a difference in my domain name now. Yes, I upgraded to premium. This actually has been on my mind for a while. When I first created my blog, I thought about upgrading once I have a stable following and people actually like my content. Well two months ago, the decision of upgrading or not was brought up again when I realized that companies began taking notice of this blog. It isn’t just individual bloggers or readers that stumbled upon this blog by chance, but also online companies and media sites as well. Since my following is now bigger than I anticipated, I thought it was necessary for me to upgrade and I’m glad I did. 🙂

What does this mean?

Well since I upgraded, I decided to join WordAds and see if I could make some money off the ads that appear on my blog. This is pretty difficult to do since people use Ad-Blocker, but I’m going to try anyways. That’s why I ask (well more like a desperate plea) to turn off your Ad-Blocker. We already live in a world where money is difficult to make for creative artists and writers, so I would greatly appreciate it if you all turn off your Ad-Blocker when visiting my site as well as for your fellow WordPress bloggers who are also using WordAds. (Also, it’s not like these ads are pop-ups. They are just there on the web page.)

By doing so, you will help content creators, writers, and artists earn a living off their passions. Personally, for me, I just want to break even since I paid about $100 for the premium plan this year. Yet if I make a little more, I just want you all to know that you will be helping a broke graduate student have a little more to eat and I’ll sleep well at night knowing that you are helping me survive. I will also be using the funds to help create better content for you all. 🙂

So please turn off your Ad-Blocker. I will greatly appreciate it. And if you don’t, well that’s your choice, but it would make me a little sad.

Happy Reading!

P.S. I probably will make another disclosure policy later on in the future.

Announcements: Business Email

Dear Readers,

You can now contact me in two different ways. The first way is filling out a short form on the “Contact Me!” page I have on this blog. The second way is emailing me at lynlynsays@gmail.com

Both methods work. I check my email on a daily basis. 🙂

I didn’t think I would ever need a business email for my blog. In the beginning, my blog was my personal hobby. It wasn’t until companies and other fellow creative people started asking me to do collaborations with them that I started realizing that maybe I should take this a little more seriously and consider doing freelancing on the side. Well, I made an email and I’ll eventually (in the summer) give my blog an upgrade. I didn’t think my blog would allow me to make many internet friends and also given me opportunities I wouldn’t dream of. Funny how life works.

So if you are interested in working/collaborating with me, just shoot me an email.

Announcements: Updates & OWLS

After several months of inactivity with my blog’s format, I finally had the time to fix the pages yesterday. I added a couple of new pages, “Other Works” and “30-Day Asian Drama Challenge” as well as updated my older ones.

If you haven’t read my post yesterday, you should. I’m the Chief Creative Officer of  OWLS: Free to be Me!. What does that even mean? I’m the one that comes up with the theme/topic for each blog tour.
