Fanime 2018 Highlights: Day 0
Originally, I wasn’t planning on going to Fanime but I bought a ticket last minute and joined two of my college friends to the convention just like old times. Also, I really needed a break after a long grueling school year and to be honest, I don’t regret it. I spent a lot of money but made some awesome memories with my friends and random con-goers.
After arriving in San Jose, my friends and I picked up our pre-registered badges. There was no line con like in previous years which was great.
After watching the Warriors game at the Hilton Hotel, I joined my two friends at the swap meet. I bought a mini Patamon figurine and three Japanese language textbooks for a $1 each.
I think the fun part of the night though was when my friends and I voted in an important poll: “Should pineapple be on pizza?” I voted yes.

Gotta love cons. I’m going to Animecon this weekend in my own country and I really can’t wait. And as you say at times you just need a fun break from it all. And duh: I would have voted the same, of course you need pineapple on a pizza! 😊

Yes, I plan on doing a report on it after I return. Hopefully the con will be just as much fun as last year.
