If you haven’t visited my site in a while, you may not have noticed the changes I made, but if you have, you might have seen a difference in my domain name now. Yes, I upgraded to premium. This actually has been on my mind for a while. When I first created my blog, I thought about upgrading once I have a stable following and people actually like my content. Well two months ago, the decision of upgrading or not was brought up again when I realized that companies began taking notice of this blog. It isn’t just individual bloggers or readers that stumbled upon this blog by chance, but also online companies and media sites as well. Since my following is now bigger than I anticipated, I thought it was necessary for me to upgrade and I’m glad I did. 🙂
What does this mean?
Well since I upgraded, I decided to join WordAds and see if I could make some money off the ads that appear on my blog. This is pretty difficult to do since people use Ad-Blocker, but I’m going to try anyways. That’s why I ask (well more like a desperate plea) to turn off your Ad-Blocker. We already live in a world where money is difficult to make for creative artists and writers, so I would greatly appreciate it if you all turn off your Ad-Blocker when visiting my site as well as for your fellow WordPress bloggers who are also using WordAds. (Also, it’s not like these ads are pop-ups. They are just there on the web page.)
By doing so, you will help content creators, writers, and artists earn a living off their passions. Personally, for me, I just want to break even since I paid about $100 for the premium plan this year. Yet if I make a little more, I just want you all to know that you will be helping a broke graduate student have a little more to eat and I’ll sleep well at night knowing that you are helping me survive. I will also be using the funds to help create better content for you all. 🙂
So please turn off your Ad-Blocker. I will greatly appreciate it. And if you don’t, well that’s your choice, but it would make me a little sad.
P.S. I probably will make another disclosure policy later on in the future.
