Matt Doyle Media nominated me for the Blogger Recognition Award. Matt, this was a long awaited post and I’m sorry that I didn’t get to it until now, but thank you so much for the nomination.

My Blogging Story:

I originally had another blog during my senior year of college, but I couldn’t keep up with it because I was busy with my classes and so I deleted it.

Two years ago, I decided to try again with the blogging thing and this is where it led me, writing this post. 😛

Well, that’s the short version, but the reasons I wanted to start a blog are to improve my writing skills, be comfortable talking to individuals and be less self-conscious of having my written opinions be read by complete strangers. Also, my friends and I have different tastes in anime, novels, and movies and so I wanted to meet people that have the same interest as me and fangirl with them.

Writing Advice For New Bloggers:

When it comes to creating a blog and you aren’t sure what you want to write about or you don’t have a theme/topic of interest, pick a URL or title that’s very universal and broad that way you can write about anything you want without being constricted to one thing or topic. Unless you just want to write about anime, then feel free to do that! 🙂

Use social media. I should have done it earlier when I started blogging, but I did it later. It’s better late than never, though! Social media is a great way to connect with other bloggers and talk about things other than blogging.
