Directed By: Ji Byung-hyun & Kim Sung-yoon
My least favorite Asian drama actress is Suzy Bae. I watched a couple of her dramas only because I liked the male lead or the story line, but I never found her acting abilities amazing.
In every drama I watched that she starred in, she always played the stubborn girl that is somewhat annoying. She portrays pretty generic characters.
One drama I watched but couldn’t finish was Big. Suzy Bae had a supporting role in this drama, but her character was annoying.
Gil Da-ran (Lee Min-jung), a struggling substitute teacher who is trying to get her certification, is engaged to a doctor, Seo Yoon-jae (Gong Yoo). Yet one day, Seo Yoon-jae gets into a car accident with one of Gil Da-ran’s students, Kang Kyung-joon (Shin Won-ho), who is a transfer student from the United States. Yoon-jae dies and Kyung-joon ends up in a coma. Soon after, Kyung-joon finds himself inside Yoon-jae’s body.
From my synopsis of the drama, I didn’t mention anything about Suzy Bae’s character. The only thing you need to know is that she contributes to the love square. Also, I didn’t complete this drama because I lost interest half way through because the storyline wasn’t as humorous and entertaining as I thought it would be and my morals conflicted with the substitute teacher’s romantic interest in Kang Kyung-joon.
I think I’d change my opinion of Suzy Bae’s acting abilities if she takes on a role that isn’t the stubborn girl troupe.
