30-Day Asian Drama Challenge Day 9: Your Favorite Taiwanese Drama?

Pleasantly Surprised (2014)

This was a tough call too because I have a couple in mind for this topic, but I also wanted to save some of these dramas for future 30-Day topics. So the Taiwanese drama I decided to pick is Pleasantly Surprised. The story focuses on the romance between two chefs, Du Kai Qi and Ah Jie.

I’m a fan of Puff Guo and Jasper Liu. They have great chemistry and are an adorable on-screen couple.

One interesting detail about this drama is that they constantly reference the manga and anime,  One Piece because it’s a favorite manga between two characters. So there’s a little something for anime and manga fans in this series.
