Frog in a Well Nominated Me For The Blogger’s Story Award

2016-03-10-20-10-08

As you can see, I haven’t written anything for my blog in the past week until today. I have been busy with other things. Anyways to get back to the swing of things, I decided to do an award post. This time, I was nominated by Frog in a Well for The Blogger’s Story Award. Thank you very much for the nomination. You actually made me come out of my own well and post something. Good job!

Directions:

  • Thank the person who nominated you
  • Showcase the award picture
  • Answer the questions
  • Nominate 3+ bloggers and include a link to their blog

Frog in the Well‘s Questions:

A) What is your blog’s name? B) Why did you name it that?

My blog’s name is Just Something About LynLyn. I couldn’t think of anything else and also at the time, I wasn’t sure what type of content I was going to produce so I went with a more broad name.

How long have you been blogging?

About a year and four months.

How many followers do you have?

In total as of now (WordPress and social media sites), 551. I am half way towards my goal of 1,000. So if you are a new person just reading this post and you like what you are seeing, please follow me. If not, that’s cool.

Who was your first follower?

My first follower is Grady P Brown. My first aniblogging follower is justanotheranimefan. Also, a fun fact. My first Twitter follower is LitaKino.

What got you into blogging?

Well, I always wanted to do blogging, but just didn’t have the time. I started this blog a couple months after I graduated from my university.

What is your favorite part about blogging?

I think my favorite part about blogging is sharing my thoughts and opinions with others and seeing what they have to say about them. Through my blog, I was able to make some awesome friendships, and learn a lot about the world around me from the comfort of my own home.

If you could improve anything at all about WordPress/blogging, what would it be?

Nothing that I can think of at the moment.

Why do you continue to blog?

My original goal (and still is) is to continue improving my writing/editing skills. Along the way, I also improved my social media and teamwork skills through my experience as Unime and on here as well. One can see that blogging actually helped me a lot in the long run for career prospects.

Now, my original goal still remains, but I do feel like my blog posts are now being directed to a growing audience. So I guess you could say I blog for my readers to some degree.

Once again, I would like to thank Frog in a Well for the nomination. I greatly appreciate it!

  1. Those are really good goals! I’ve been looking into getting an agent for my manuscript lately, and it’s come up a few times that having sizable a social media following is a really good place to start. I’d love to get tips from you on how you got to 500+ followers!

    • Haha. One of my goals in life is to get published. I wrote something for NaNoWriMo two years ago, but I have yet to edit it.

Creating social media for your blog would be a great way to get followers.

      • That’s impressive haha I’ve tried NaNoWriMo a few times, but it always kicks my ass. I’m currently writing about my editing process on my blog actually! I’m finding that the editing is much harder than the writing

      • Yeah, editing is pretty difficult because now you have to think about if those are the correct words to use, tone, the structure/organization of everything.
