Ojitosperle Nominated Me For The Liebster Award (Part 4)

liebster

Ojitosperle nominated me for the Liebster Award, and I greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much, Ojitosperle! If you don’t know the rules, here they are. (Also, I found this picture to be really convenient, thanks Ojitosperle.

rules

So the Liebster Award rules states that this award is given to individuals with less than 200 followers. I am not sure how that applies to me because I am over the limit (Thank You Readers!) which consists of WordPress bloggers, Twitter followers, and Facebook likes. If you follow this rule, then I shouldn’t be writing this blog post, but if you are only counting WordPress bloggers, I am actually below 200 as of right now.

I am going to go for the latter because I want to write a special post for Ojitosperle.  Furthermore, most of these nominations I get are from anime/manga bloggers, so it is nice to see a book blogger nomination for once. I know that my blog primarily focuses on anime and manga posts, but I do like to read and write about books too.

Anyways, thank you Ojitosperle for the nomination. I appreciate it, and it is great to meet another book lover. So readers, if you are a fan of books and want to read book reviews check out their blog.

Now I am going to stop rambling and answer some questions.

Ojitosperle’s Questions:

What is your top favorite series of all time?

I don’t have a favorite series. I tend to avoid books that are series because they are a large investment in regards to time and money. But I have read book series such as Harry Potter and Twilight.

Good boy or Bad boy? – who do you hope gets the girl in love triangles

Both. I actually sway both ways. When reading a book that has a love triangle, I tend to put myself in the female protagonist’s shoes, and picked the one that “makes my heart skip a beat” (I know sounds cheesy, but that is how I root for the guy).

Where do you like to read the most?

I like to read while on my bed relaxing or at a coffee shop.

Why a book blog? How did you start?

My blog isn’t just a book blog. I blog about stuff that interests me in general. My blog is a reflection of who I am (and who I want to be) as a person. I think you can tell by the stuff I read and the things I watch that I am a hopeless romantic. Furthermore, I didn’t want my blog to be about just one thing. I wanted it to be about many things, somethings. For me, I tend to blend into a lot of different crowds and types of people. That is the type of person I am. So I wanted my blog to be just like that, so I talk about a lot of things.

How did I start my blog? I read a lot of stuff and have opinions on what I read. There isn’t really anyone in real life that would be willing to listen to my thoughts, and my friends don’t read the same things as me. So I made a blog to express these feelings and thoughts. In addition, my friends told me I should be a blogger or a novelist, and one of my professors in college told me I have interesting opinions and I should let people know of them. So here I am.

Which one would you prefer? Movie Cover or Original Cover?

THE ORIGINAL COVER ALL THE WAY! I only buy the movie cover if it is the only one available. I kind of avoid books with real life people on them because if there is one,  I tend to visualize the characters as the model of the cover and that takes away some of the fun in imagination.

Which book that you own do you dislike the most?

50 Shades of Grey. Some people say it is a horrible book because it questions your morals and values. I think it is a horrible book because of the way it is written. I have nothing against fanfiction. It is the author’s writing style that bothers me. Also speaking of morals, I question mine every day in regards to why I read certain manga or watch certain anime.

What is your favorite book to movie adaptation?

Umm…I try to read the book before watching the movie, but that fails most of the time. There are always differences between the book and movie adaptation, but there is nothing we, the audience, can do about it. There are limitations to what a movie could do, and sometimes the director, producers and writers may have a different perspective on how the movie adaptation of the book should be. The people who create the movie adaptation have the power to sway the audience to a certain way of thinking.

I haven’t read it, but I like the film adaptation of the book, Lemonade Mouth. Lemonade Mouth is a Disney Channel Original Movie, so of course they would censor certain aspects of the book that weren’t family friendly. Yet, I really enjoyed this movie because of the values it stands for in regards to self-expression and freedom. Also, the music is pretty decent compared to the other music based Disney movies.

What book would you recommend to your followers?

If you read my book reviews, it will give you a good idea what I think is good or not.

If you needed a snack while you were reading, which one would you choose? Cookies, sandwich, or macarons?

COOKIES AND MACARONS! OR JUST HAVING A DESSERT  PARTY WHILE READING! 😀

What is the best piece of blogging advice you can give to your followers?

Write whatever you feel like writing. I guarantee that at least one person in the world will read it because they will find you interesting even if you don’t.

If you could be anything in the world, what would you be?

I would be me. Haha. There really isn’t anything I want to be in this world actually. Reality has limitations.  Now if we are in a fictional world, I would want to have superpowers or be a magical girl.

Once again, I would like to thank Ojitosperle for the nomination. If you want to see their answers to the Liebster Award, check it out here!

So I think this is going to be the last time I would be able to do this award post since it has specific rules and requirements, and I am the type of person that like to stay within those boundaries (to a certain degree). So Ojitosperle you could be the last lucky blogger that gets a special post by me in regards to the Liebster Award.

I think one day I will reach 200 followers (unless 200 people decide to delete me then I can still qualify for this award). Thus, I won’t be able to do this award post anymore and plus, my blog has been around for a half a year, so I don’t think it is “new” anymore. So that being said, I am going to nominate a new set of bloggers for this award. (I am going to break this rule about only nominating 11 bloggers, and give you all a whole “freakin” list. How ironic, right? Breaking one rule, but following the other. Well that is how life works, sometimes.) Besides, I enjoy reading these bloggers’ posts and if this is going to be my last Liebster Award post, might as well go off with a BANG! These bloggers deserve to have 200 followers and should get their name out there.

My Nominees:

Otaku Peanut

Honestly, their name “Otaku Peanut” is so cute.

We The Hunted

Senseless Scrutiny

They have been following me for a long time, and I’ve been following them for quite a while too. I always wanted to nominate this blog for something, but I couldn’t because my questions tend to gear towards anime bloggers. Yet this time I made my questions universal. 🙂

Popculturemecha

I nominated you for another award because I can. You’re a “partner in crime.” (We work on the same blog.)

Deirii Raifu

A blog about “deirii raifu” as an anime fan. They have simple and sweet reviews.

Anime And Else

Great Twitter and Blogging Buddy. I love the post you made for the Real Neat Blog Award. So I’m going to nominate you again!  😀

mangaotakuu

A blog about manga and anime. They wrote some great thoughts on anime and manga that I like.

Fantasy and Anime

Matt-in-the-Hat

He made a nice little comment on my blog. (That comment made my day.) When I think of your name, “Matt-in-the-Hat,” I think of the Mad Hatter.

Daiyamanga

This blogger posts some interesting reviews on manga. Manga is indeed a girl’s best friend. 🙂

Abysmal

Animated

I’ve been stalking reading this blogger for a pretty long time (even though I just followed them like right now).

  9. If you could rewrite the ending of a book, anime or manga? Which would it be and why?
  10. If you knew the world is going to end tomorrow, what would you do on your last day?
  11. Would you meet a blogger (or bloggers) in real life? If so, who and why?

  1. Congrats and thank you for the award! Hope you enjoy the One Ok Rock concert, especially since I now have one of their songs stuck in my head now lol. What’s your favourite song of theirs, if you don’t mind me asking?

      • The Beginning is my favourite as well. If you like One Ok Rock then you’d probably like Taka’s younger brother’s band My First Story. They have a similar sound, only the leader singer’s voice is slightly higher in pitch.

      • Oh I heard of them, but never really checked them out. Which songs would you recommend from them?

        Like

      • The first song I heard from them was Fukagyaku Replace, the ED for Nobunaga Concerto, so I’d say check that one out first and see how you find it.
