Lita Kino Anime Reviews Nominated Me For The Infinity Dreams Award
Thank you Lita Kino for another nomination. This time, it is the Infinity Dreams Award. When I read the word, “dreams,” I was intrigued. “Dream” is actually one of my favorite words in the dictionary. Why? Well first of all, it sounds pretty. In Japanese, “dream” is translated to 「夢(ゆめ)」or in romaji, yume. (Isn’t the kanji beautiful?) In Korean, “dream” is 「꿈.」Also, a dream encompasses a lot of things such as one’s wishes and desires, goals, imagination, possibilities, fantasies, etc. “Dream,” “to dream,” and “dreaming” is such a powerful thing.
Before I tell you about my dreams, I want to thank Lita Kino once again for her nomination. I greatly appreciate it. Your such an awesome blogging friend! 🙂
I am not sure how this award post works, but I am going to follow, Lita Kino’s example. According to her Infinity Award post, she states, “I have to talk about seven of my dreams.” Like Lita Kino, I can’t think of seven dreams off the top of my head; so instead, I’ll just do four.
1. I want to get a Master’s and hopefully, a Ph.D. in either East Asian Studies, Asian Studies, or Comparative Literature. I love school. I love learning. I have a strong interest in literature as well as languages and cultures, and I want to continue pursuing those studies throughout my life, inside and outside the academic classroom.
2. Travel. I put this as a broad and general term because there are so many places I want to visit in this lifetime. Now I’ve been to Japan and the Philippines, but I would love to return and spend more time in those countries. I actually want to go country-hopping to many East and Southeast Asian countries such as South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
3. I want to publish a book. Whether it is a memoir or a novel, I want to publish something before I die. I did NaNoWriMo last year, and I made it to the 50,000 word goal. However, I am not quite finish with the first draft of my book. I am almost there, 90% completed. I realized finishing is the hardest part, but I’ll get it done eventually…
4. I want to see The All-American Rejects live in concert. The All-American Rejects have been my favorite rock band since junior high. I’ve seen all my other favorite musicians and international groups in concert, but I haven’t seen the number one band I love. They are a must see for me! I heard that they are going to make another record and are also back on the road for a couple shows. I’ve been keeping my eyes out for a possible concert near my hometown! 🙂
Those are the four dreams I have. I hope you enjoyed reading them, and hopefully, they will all come true in this lifetime.
Now I am going to nominate a few bloggers for this award. I picked these bloggers because I enjoy reading their posts and I am actually curious about their dreams and goals in life. I don’t mean to sound like a stalker, but I am just naturally curious. On your blogs, you sound like really interesting people who I would want to meet in real life. (Not that I ever will meet you in person, that would be weird. That is crossing like blogging boundaries.) What I mean is that if we lived in the same area, I probably would be friends with you in real life even though I am super shy and quiet. Anyways, I think I am talking too much, so here are my nominations:
Once again, thank you Lita Kino for the nomination! If you want to know about Lita Kino’s dreams, check out her blog post here.
Also to my nominees, sorry if I sound like a total weirdo. That wasn’t my intention. I just wanted to share my genuine thoughts! ❤
